Market wrap up..

Last night was another perfect night in at King George Square for the BrisStyle indie Twilight Markets.

Melanie from Kimono Reincarnate & Sophie from Strat Designs

The weather behaved and so many smart shoppers were out, getting a head start on the Christmas lists. It's always so lovely to see the the many BrisStyle friends visit us, time and time again. And to catch up with BrisStylettes between sales.

Last night I sold both of the items I'd donated to the BrisStyle Chicks in Pink  national breast cancer awareness month fund raising effort. I'm donating the total proceeds from the sales to Chicks in Pink. Two generous shoppers walked away with these shelleyberelli goodies.

I shared my stall with the lovely Moose & Bird

The shelleyberelli market totes were a hit, as were my zippered purses. I'm going to get to work between now and my next market (BiDM - Racecourse Rd, 10 December) on more totes and some new ipad cases.

See you in December!

Four sleeps to go...

I'm getting quiet excited - we're nearing the pointy end of the year and market season is looming. I've got my next markets at King George Square on Friday night with the BrisStyle indie Twilight Markets.

I've been sewing calico totes and designing some new purses that are looking like they're going to be upsized to ipad sleeves. What do you think?

Let's go shopping ... for pretty pink presents

It's not too many sleeps until Christmas (Pew! That was my brain blowing a gasket. How quickly has this year gone by?) Are you a clever shopper who buys goodies all the year through or are you a last-minute-grab-what-you-can type?

How do you like this for a plan? A bit on online shopping, stocking up for Christmas, while being happy in the knowledge that your spending will be flowing on to Chicks in Pink (via BrisStyle) who are raising money during October for national breast cancer awareness month. Browse below or follow this link for more BrisStyle goodness.

Chicks in Pink #2

This is a PS to my first post, where I let you know about BrisStyle's current fund raising activity for national breast cancer awareness month.  They/we are helping out  'chicks in pink'. A charity organisation which aims to raise funds which have a positive, significant and real impact on people who are affected by breast cancer.

There are many BrisStyle goodies on offer (search 'brisstyle' and 'chicks in pink' on etsy for a squizz , or try this *link*). I've added another shelleyberelli bag to the goodies on offer. It's the Aloha Pussycat swing tote100%of the  proceeds from the sale will be donated to Chicks in Pink (and there's free postage in Australia, too!!)

Let's go shopping...

Hurray for Saturday! It's time to go virtual shopping again. Like these? Well, why not also have a look over on the BrisStyle blog to see what other BrisStylette's have found on their 'Let's go Shopping' adventures. No theme for me today, except lots of etsy handmade goodness. Well, maybe a little bit of a theme...

Chicks in Pink -the thinking chicks' charity

Many of you may be aware that October is national breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer amongst Australian women so throughout the month of October BrisStyle is pitching in with assitance to help raise much needed funds for chicks in pink!

For those of you who are not familiar with 'chicks in pink' they are a charity organisation which aims to raise funds which have a positive, significant and real impact on people who are affected by breast cancer.  Their funds also contribue to the better understanding and treatement of breast cancer through medical research.  Today, chicks in pink supports Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital Redland, Mater Adult Hospital and Mater Medical Research Institute (PS extra special plug for shelleyberelli, who's involved in the 'Mothers and Babies' research theme). Pop over to the chicks in pink website to read more about how they are making a difference. You will be amazed!

So, how can you help we hear you ask? By shopping of course.....

Many wonderful BrisStylers  have kindly donated some of their crafty wares for sale.  A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to chicks in pink. So, grab a cuppa, start browsing and help us raise much needed funds for chicks in pink.....

This is what shelleyberelli's donated - 100% of proceeds from the sale will be donated (free postage too!!)
